Is the matching actually right?
Every precision figure this project has published came from a gold pool that was sampled by three generators and labelled by a model. Twice now the live corpus has turned out far worse than that pool implied: the sixteen scoped items measured around 50% on the pool and proved to be 8% in production, and a twelve-match read of the others suggested roughly 30% against a pooled 95%. When an instrument overstates quality that badly in two independent slices, the instrument is what is suspect.
So this sheet stops inferring and measures the corpus itself. You are looking at articles that are in the database right now, drawn at random from two populations so they can be compared.

- 30 matches from the sixteen items that have a confirmed definition, and 30 from the eighty-four that do not — sampled separately so the two can be compared rather than blended.
- Drawn deterministically (a seeded shuffle), so re-running the builder on unchanged data produces this exact sheet and any difference in the numbers is a difference in the corpus.
- The two are interleaved, not presented as two blocks. A first draft listed all thirty scoped cards and then all thirty others, which would have the second group judged by a reader thirty cards more tired — an order effect sitting directly on the comparison this sheet exists to make. The shuffled deck keeps the counts exact and the longest run of one population down to five.
- At this size an observed 30% has a 95% interval of roughly 17–47%, which excludes 95%. That is the reason for the size: it is chosen to settle the question, not to look thorough.
- Per-item rates are not offered. A handful of matches per item cannot support one, and printing them would invite exactly the over-reading this page exists to correct.
Judge only whether the article genuinely concerns that commitment — not whether the wording of the definition is ideal. Use unsurefor genuinely borderline cases; those are excluded from the rate rather than forced into it. The twenty-four items the verifier now protects are shown with their definition, and the rest are shown with the classifier’s own reason, because for those the matcher’s reading is the only rule that exists.
