Revamping the Mining Sector & Strategic Mineral Database
To cancel inactive licenses in the mining and minerals sector and strictly regulate active firms. To amend and revise the Mines and Minerals Act, 2042 BS, related rules, and guidelines in a timely manner to make them investment-friendly, transparent, and implementable, and to begin the task within three months of installing modern equipment (XRF, XRD, ICP-MS, Petrographic Microscope, etc.) in laboratories under the department to enhance testing capacity. Furthermore, to build an integrated database of strategic minerals.
