Resolving the Landless Squatter Problem within 1000 Days
To complete the integrated digital data collection and verification of landless squatters and unorganized settlers nationwide within 60 days, and to conduct household surveys in coordination with local levels to solve the problem of landless squatters and unorganized settlers within 1000 days; to implement clear criteria (cut-off date, income level, ownership of other property) for identifying actual beneficiaries; to update, map, and prepare Geographic Information System (GIS)-based digital databases of records of public, unregistered (Ailani), and Guthi (trust) lands; and to provide land in phases to identified actual squatters or to alternatively arrange rehabilitation through integrated housing (Land Pooling / Apartment Model) in dense urban areas. To operate a public dashboard to make the land distribution and rehabilitation processes completely transparent, and to conduct the coordination, monitoring, and implementation of the entire program under the direct supervision of the relevant ministry.
